About Yoga met Eike

Welcome!

I’m Eike, a Stråla Yoga Guide originally from Hamburg, Germany.  Since 2018, I’ve been teaching Stråla Yoga and am excited to share the softness of this unique practice with you and others. I recently relocated to the Netherlands and am transitioning my yoga practice both locally and online.

Stråla Yoga blends the movement and healing wisdom of Tai Chi with the form vocabularies of Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, and traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. This combination helps people release stress, move with ease through challenges, and live a radiant and inspiring life.

In addition to being a yoga teacher, I’m also a mindfulness practitioner, certified health coach, and have a professional background in pharmacy. My mission is simple: Inspiring flow through movement, mindfulness, and holistic wellness.

WHAT IS STRÅLA YOGA?

Stråla Yoga is a unique approach to yoga that emphasizes ease, softness, and natural movement. Stråla encourages you to find freedom and flow in your movement, supporting a balanced, vibrant life.

DO I NEED PRIOR YOGA EXPERIENCE TO JOIN A STRÅLA YOGA CLASS? 

Absolutely! One of the core principles of Stråla Yoga is inclusivity. Our classes are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether you're a complete beginner or a professional. Each session encourages you to move in a way that feels good for your body, allowing you to take what you need from the practice, no matter your experience level. The focus is on ease and natural movement, so everyone can benefit and grow at their own pace.

WHAT IS YOUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY, AND HOW DOES IT SUPPORT STRESS RELIEF AND WELL-BEING?

My teaching philosophy centers around moving with ease and mindfulness. In Stråla Yoga, we focus on natural, fluid movement rather than rigid postures, which helps release tension in both the body and mind. By creating a relaxed, open space where you can connect with your breath and move freely, the practice fosters a deep sense of calm and well-being, supporting stress relief and promoting balance in everyday life.
