STRÅLA YOGA
A Modern Style of Yoga
Flow with Ease: Discover Movement, Mindfulness, and Inner Balance with Stråla Yoga.
Stråla Yoga is a modern and dynamic yoga style from New York.
Founded in 2007 by dancer Tara Stiles and Mind-Body specialist Mike Taylor, and continuously evolving since then, this yoga style has spread across the world in just a few years.
Stråla Yoga combines traditional yoga asanas with the Eastern movement principles of Tai Chi and Shiatsu to create a unique experience: a fluid yoga practice that focuses more on flowing movements for every body rather than achieving the perfect pose.
This philosophy extends beyond the yoga mat into all areas of life, which is what I love about it. It’s a mindset shift: away from the “No pain, no gain” mentality, toward “Achieving more with ease!”
The best part? It truly works. Whether on the yoga mat or in life, when we let go of the struggle for perfection, we create space for real, meaningful experiences.
NO GURUS
You make the rules.
Stråla Yoga is also characterized by the absence of a guru and the rejection of any form of dogmatic rules. Instead, the practice is designed to empower you to take responsibility for yourself and your life.
You make your own rules — not just a catchy marketing phrase, but a way of life that continually involves questioning the status quo. And by that, I don’t mean believing in esoteric wisdom, but rather consistently taking responsibility for yourself and asking what you can do a little better today than you did yesterday.
"A successful tree pose probably won't change your life. Learning how to keep your breath easy, long, and deep no matter what the circumstance? That absolutely will."
